The Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in collaboration with the Brazilian chapter of InterPore, is proud to announce the 7th InterPore Brazil, Conference on Porous Media, which will take place in Salinópolis, Pará, Brazil, from August 12th to 14th, 2024. This event aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on porous media and strengthen the synergy between the Brazilian InterPore community and experts from academia, industry, and experimental research sectors, strengthen international and local collaborations in the field of porous media studies.The scientific agenda is focused on the latest developments in the study of porous media research, methods, application and theory. The 7th InterPore Brazil Conference on Porous Media continues the tradition of successful events initiated by the Brazilian chapter of the International Society for Porous Media. The first Brazilian InterPore Conference took place at the Brazilian National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), Rio de Janeiro, from October 19th to 21st, 2014. This event set the stage for what would become a series of fruitful and enlightening conferences focusing on porous media research. The most recent, the 6th InterPore Brazil, occurred from August 7th to 9th, 2023, hosted by the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) in Campinas, São Paulo. Now, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the 7th InterPore Brazil, which will be held in Salinópolis, Pará. The environment of the old fishing village of Salinópolis, now with 40,000 inhabitants, has a broader scientific context, which includes the importance of mangrove zones, strong coastal dynamics, the need to reduce CO2 emissions linked to various industries, and also being at the center of climate discussions, especially with the upcoming COP-30. We look forward to welcoming academics, industry professionals, and enthusiasts to Salinópolis, Pará, to explore the frontiers of porous media research at the 7th InterPore Brazil.
